Damian Martin is an outstanding junior international and gold medal winner who has finally added a perimeter shot to his arsenal and made the step up to senior international basketball.

Remarkably, Martin improved his three-point percentage from 19% in 2009 to an NBL league leading 49% last year as he led the Perth Wildcats to the championship.

Runner-up in the NBL’s 2010 defensive player of the year, Martin plays much bigger than his listed 6-2 and can hold down both guard positions, and is the type of player who always contributes much more than the stats sheet suggests.

At the 2003 FIBA U19 World Championship, Martin averaged 7.4ppg, 3.8rpg and 2.1apg as a starting guard, having his best game against the USA in the quarter finals with 10 points on 4/4 shooting from the field.
