Nevertheless, he is a player known to give absolutely everything for his country and whether he is given 40 minutes or 40 seconds, expect the smallest man in the team to set an example in terms of heart, hustle and effort.

While he is unlikely to get any serious court-time, he will grab what he does get given with both hands.

He is not just a bench cheerleader as he showed at last year’s FIBA Asia Championship where he took opportunities around the basket and made outside shots.

In fact, while he didn’t get a lot of chances in Tianjin, he was flawless in his scoring and shooting when he did get onto the floor and that might persuade Coach Matic to trust him even more this time.
